About Annie
Annie has devoted her entire career to matters related to labour and employment law. She founded AGB Resolution Inc., a boutique dispute resolution firm, where she draws upon her extensive experience as both a lawyer and adjudicator to resolve workplace disputes.
Fluent in French and English, Annie has been presiding over cases and issuing decisions in both languages since 2015.
She has served as a full-time Vice-Chair of the Canada Industrial Relations Board (CIRB) for over ten years.
Before her appointment at the CIRB in January 2015, Annie spent her legal career in private practice as a labour and employment lawyer.
She has advised and represented unions, employees and employers in both the private and public sectors on a wide range of issues involving labour relations, employment, administrative law and human rights. Annie has represented clients in Alternative Dispute Resolution processes and has appeared as counsel before labour arbitrators, federal and provincial administrative tribunals (Quebec and Ontario), the Federal Court of Appeal and Federal Court and the trial courts of Quebec and Ontario.
She has also taught labour law at the University of Ottawa’s Faculty of Law (French Common Law Program).
Annie holds a Bachelor of Laws from Queen’s University and a Bachelor of Civil Law from the University of Sherbrooke. She has been a member of the bars of Quebec and Ontario since 2002 and is an Accredited Mediator by the Barreau du Québec.
